Yes, here it is: the next split-disc with more oldskool madness by these two acts from the tape era who were already successfully combining their work on a previous disc [DV1500].
The first track by US stompers SMERSH [DV1800/DV2200] from 1984 was supplied by ultra benignant Mike Mangino. It is highly collectible because it's released here for the first time ever exclusively on DISCOS VEVEOS. "Krel Brain Booster" is an instrumental quirker and with its hefty groove it makes sure that the beat just sounds right. Some nice synth melodies and effects add the right amount of spice to make it a delicious gem for industrial funkers!
The second title on this release is "The Statesman Worries" by Germans DE NUIT/DE BEAUVILLE. A soft discobeat, persisting and monotonous bass synth, some keyboard layers and a breathless trumpet give the musical background for DE BEAUVILLE's ranting about meandering in a big city after having drunk too much. Downtown escapism from 1987.
DV1700 comes with a varistyle cover, what means that you can change the two cover pictures in order to have your favorite one appearing on the frontside.
