DV1200 - LOGAN'S RUN, by Oberst Gregor, Ingo Anhenn & Richard Bone, Album [71:17]

In 1967 William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson wrote this extremely cool novel. The 1976 movie is famous. In 1999 the first considerations were made for a new and exciting project: recording music for the book with each song representing a chapter. By Autumn 2000 controls for the realization were set...

OBERST GREGOR [DV600/DV700/DV1800/DV2000] and INGO ANHENN [DV900/DV1800] would transfer the novel into individual songs and special overseas guest RICHARD BONE would contribute an ambient track for the disc to die away softly. From summer 2001 until spring 2002 the recordings were made and the resulting album surpassed even our own expectations!

With this star in the catalog we present a 25 track record that is full of originality and ideas as gripping as the novel itself. The style ranges from bizarre electronic pieces to warm acoustic songs - and everything you can imagine in between. Richard's song finally serves as an epilogue and with its beauty it makes a perfect ending for this adventurous disc.

"This 25-tune Cd is an amazing adjunct to the celebrated science-fiction tale." Jeff Berkwits, Sci-Fi channel
