"Top down time", "Stolen bad guys tilt rotor airways" and "Show down in Sudan" are the titles of three songs from the GHOSTLY BUS [DV1900/DV1800] album "Action Mood 120". This album, released on US label Mirandette Popular, consists of slightly dark minimal house paired with deep Ambient pieces, a melange that does it's trick. As for DV2000, it's remixes of the songs named above and they work as well.
"Top down time" [the subaquatic mix] uses strong metallic beats, some melodious analog synth lines, a happy keyboard solo and after an atmospheric break it dies away with a great primitive uncongested sample.
"Stolen bad guys..." [the push forward mix] is for the half hour before peak time in a dark, smokey and bedraggled discotheque, the kind we all love best. Its straight and oldskoolish house rhythm just lets you really indulge in the sparse synth paddings.
"Show down in Sudan" [the samba survival mix] comes as a nice and weird last track. Elating rhythm, New Wave style guitar, breezy soundscape and themelike synth melody make it the EP's most outlandish track.
