DV900 - TROIS CADAVRES DE DEUX PERSONNES EXQUISES by Jeanne Duval, 3 track EP [11:13]

Here's an EP by JEANNE DUVAL [DV1800] that consists of three songs. If you like slightly avantgardish music full of obscure neoacoustic humour created with an intellectual approach then this is for you. Jeanne Duval celebrates the memory of style practitioner Charles Baudelaire by setting his poems into sound.

Expect nothing less than strong lyricism paired with equally strong sound created by synthesizers and string instruments. "Je suis veuve" is a true No-Pop anthem worth the record alone, "La beauté" kills by its brutality while "La priere d'un paien" showcases the rhythmic abilities of a DD12. Cain & Abel-ism today!

The recordings resemble the work released on France's seminal AYAA label; tracks from the interface between Rock, Pop, Electro and Avantgarde; created with humour and intellect.

All selections are from the original album "Deux Cadavres Exquises" that Jeanne Duval recorded in 1993 and that was released as a whole in 2000 as DV300, however, in favor of DV900 it has been deleted in 2001.
